CHANCE TO SHINE PORTAL

By registering to the Chance to Shine Portal, you must be over 16 years of age.

You may download and print material from the Portal as is reasonable for formal educational or coaching purposes only.

You must not use the Portal or any of its content in any other way, including (but not limited to):

  • for commercial purposes (such as selling or attempting to sell it in any way);
  • reproducing, re-utilising or redistributing it (including, by way of example, creating a database (electronic or otherwise) that includes material downloaded or otherwise obtained from the Website);
  • to obtain or attempt to obtain any materials or information through any means not intentionally made available or provided for through the Website;
  • to make available personal data or private information about any person other than yourself;
  • to promote, facilitate or encourage illegal activity;
  • in any way to directly or indirectly suggest endorsement or approval by Chance to Shine of a product or service (for example, a personal website), entity, content or any belief or opinion expressed within a product or service; and
  • in any way that might bring Chance to Shine into disrepute

CHATTER AND DIRECT MESSAGING

Registering to the Chance to Shine Portal will grant access to functionality that allows communication with other Portal users within the user’s direct network via the Community ‘Chatter’ functionality.

Inappropriate or objectional posts or content are prohibited and users will have their accounts removed and IP addresses banned. Objectional content includes but is not limited to:

  • Defamatory commentary and hate speech about religion, gender, race and other targeted groups,
  • Overly sexual material of an explicit nature,
  • Portrayals of extreme violence or content that encourages violence,
  • Bullying and harassment
  • Illegal activities such as drug use and gambling
  • Content that breaches any law, criminal or otherwise

In addition, any form of web advertising, either commercial or private, or any commercial messages are not permitted.

SUBMITTING INFORMATION AND CASE STUDIES

By submitting and/or posting messages, case studies or any other material (including any text, photographs, graphics, video and audio) to Chance to Shine or the Portal you are granting us a perpetual royalty free non-exclusive licence to reproduce, modify, translate, make available, distribute and sub-license the message/suggestion/material in whole or in part and in any form anywhere in the world and in any way we choose (including, but not limited to, via the Website or our social media channels).

By submitting such material, you warrant that you are the owner of all the relevant intellectual property rights in relation to the submitted material. Any materials you provide to us shall be regarded as non-confidential.

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION AND DATA

By signing up to the Chance to Shine Portal, users agree not to make available to any third party any personal data or private information about any person or persons that they obtained through the Portal.

It is strictly prohibited to use any personal information or data obtained through the Portal for any purpose other than that directly related to Chance to Shine delivery and the charity’s programmes.

Terms  & Conditions for our Match Fund 2023

  • Donations received starting from 10th August 2023 will be matched.
  • ALL gifts donated within the period of the Match Fund being live will be matched. This includes;  new regular gifts, existing regular gifts that have been upgraded during this period and instalments of existing recurring commitments too.
  • Any gift from individuals, clubs, schools, companies, charitable trusts/foundations, miscellaneous donations arising from local fundraising activity etc. may be matched.
  • There is no cap on any donations received during the period of the match fund.
  • Gift Aid received on donations will not be matched.
  • The matched funding available during this period is limited to a maximum total of £500,000. 
  • Any donations received after the 30th of September 2023, we will no longer be able to match.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • The laws of some territories prohibit or limit disclaimers of warranties or limitation of liability. In such states, CTS' liability shall be limited to the fullest extent allowed by law.
  • The terms shall be governed by and construed according to the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any claims or disputes arising from or relating to this site or the Content and by using this site, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts. Any claim arising from or in connection with this site or the Content must be brought within one year of the event giving rise to such claim.
  • If any of these terms are found to be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions of this Agreement shall not be affected.
  • Failure by CTS to enforce any of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of such terms or any other terms.
