Chance to Shine have developed stay at home cricket activities for children and young people. Skills sessions are aimed at helping parents and teachers to homeschool children with physical education ideas.

It is absolutely vital to do so to support children's physical and mental wellbeing during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Chance to Shine LIVE!

During the 2021 Lockdown, we provided Chance to Shine sessions, live-streamed on our YouTube channel every.

The sessions support children to improve their cricket  skills and help to keep them active. They are led by Chance to Shine coaches and are suitable for children at home or at school to take part in. We believe that the sessions can be accessed by pupils of all ages and our coaches will explain how to differentiate the activities during the session. The activities are linked to the PE National Curriculum.

Click here to find out more and watch the sessions.

Virtual Programme

Since most schools returned in September 2020, we have also built a Virtual Programme to support teachers to deliver full PE sessions for pupils who are on site. The interactive videos are led by coaches Mas and Sophie and are all available on the 'Play' section of the Chance to Shine Schools' Portal. The portal is totally free and we encourage parents as well as teachers to sign up and access the resources.

Cricket at Home

The Chance to Shine 'Cricket at Home' series has been developed to support children to stay active if they are not in schools. Each session features a clear and easy to follow instructional video with a supporting written guidance document. The sessions are all linked to PE National Curriculum Learning Outcomes and feature individual and pairs activities.

Sessions have been specifically built for children at home and require minimal equipment and can be completed in limited space. The sessions feature ways to adapt the activities to support differing levels of aptitude to make sure that all children can take part and feel stretched and challenged.

We also have cricket-themed literacy and numeracy lessons which we hope you will find useful.
