Youth Social Action Programmes – Applications are now closed. Chance to Shine is pleased to announce the launch of its Youth Social Action Programmes, now open for applications from young people aged 13 – 24 in the UK. The programmes have been created to help young people learn new skills and knowledge on topics that are either important to them or they are interested in understanding more about, including sport for social change, leadership, mental health and the fundamentals of coaching. The programmes will provide rewarding experiences and personal development opportunities for all young people involved, with some receiving key qualifications at the end. There are three different programmes open for applications: NextGen: Developing the next generation of leaders and coachesWho can apply: 13 – 24 years old, UK resident and have been a Chance to Shine cricketer for at least 1 year Community Voices: Supporting young people to have a voice and an impact on issues that are important to themWho can apply: 15 – 24 years old, UK resident and have been a Chance to Shine cricketer for at least 1 year Youth Advisory Board: Creating the first ever Chance to Shine youth board that represents young people in Chance to Shine’s workWho can apply: 15 – 24 years old and a UK resident Chance to Shine Chief Operating Officer, Steve Peyman said: “We’re delighted to now be open for applications to our Youth Social Action programmes.
