Statement on COVID-19 After discussions with the England and Wales Cricket Board, we fully support their decision taken today (Wednesday 18 March) to suspend all participation cricket activity as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak and therefore, effective immediately, there will be no Chance to Shine Schools or Street cricket delivery until further notice. This is not a decision that we have taken lightly but believe that it is the responsible thing to do in order to support the country’s efforts to fight COVID-19. We will continue to monitor the situation and follow the guidance of the Government and health professionals. We would like to thank our key funding partners: ECB, Sport England and NatWest as well as our incredible donors, trusts, foundations and corporate partners for their support during an exceptionally difficult period. We remain champions of physical activity in schools and, where safe to do so, we encourage teachers to continue delivering Physical Education lessons. Our Schools’ Portal is completely free for everyone to use and houses all the lesson plans, instructional videos and top tips to deliver Chance to Shine sessions in schools. Teachers can click here to sign up for FREE to use the resources.
