Primary school kids live their dream at the Home of Cricket On Wednesday 21 September, eight primary schools from across England travelled to the Home of Cricket for the Pinsent Masons Indoor Cricket Tournament. Teams included St Matthew's School (Birmingham), Oakfield Junior School (Surrey), Mill Pond Primary School (Bristol), Kingsway Primary School (Manchester), Sale Cricket Club (Manchester), Handsworth Cricket Club (Birmingham), Windmill Primary School (Leeds) and Weetwood Primary School (Leeds). The tournament was a fiercely contested affair, but played in a great spirit. In a nail biting final Weetwood Primary defeated Sale Cricket Club off the last ball to seal victory. Describing the day, Nick Thow, Acting CR, Diversity Values Programme Manager for Pinsent Masons said, "This was our fourth Pinsent Masons tournament at Lord's and is always one of the highlights of our year. It's so exciting for the children to have the chance to play at Lord's and our staff find the day hugely rewarding and worthwhile. Once again the day was a huge success. Manage Cookie Preferences
