Sports business consultant Omar Khan will be pounding the streets of London this Sunday to raise vital funds for Chance to Shine.

Before tackling the Virgin London Marathon, Omar and Chance to Shine hosted a pre-London Marathon breakfast this week to raise funds and awareness for Omar's challenge. Several notable faces were in attendance to support Omar including BBC Sport presenter Manish Bhasin and former England cricketer Isa Guha.

Speaking at the event Manish commented, "For me it's a win-win. It's great to support Omar as a friend with this challenge and to see Chance to Shine reaping the benefits is fantastic. It's great to see the support that he has managed to garner."

At the morning, telecoms specialist, Lycamobile showed their support for Omar and the charity and Chris Living, Sales and Marketing Director at Lycamobile, presented Chance to Shine Chief Executive Wasim Khan with a cheque for £1,000.

Speaking about his reasons for running the marathon Omar said, "It's a charity that is very close to my heart. I have a great passion for cricket and for what they (Chance to Shine) are doing for the recreational game. Having two kids, it resonates with me and everything I do and I'm delighted to be running for them. I'm also delighted that Lycamobile have made a thousand pound donation today to the charity. I've been training since the start of January and I'm looking forward to getting it over with!"
