We'd like to say thank you to 8-year-old Jack Nash who raised an incredible £300 for Chance to Shine.

Jack raised money by holding a bake sale, raising the funds with the generous support of his local community. Jack's fantastic efforts will help in our mission to spread the power of cricket.

We spoke to Jack to find out why he chose to fundraise for Chance to Shine.

What do you love about cricket?

There's no particular reason, I just love it!

Why do you think it's important for kids to play cricket?

Because it's such a great game, and you make great friends with your teammates.

What motivated you to fundraise for Chance to Shine?

I was up in London and saw how little space a lot of the schools have, and asked my Mum how the get to play sport and whether they play cricket. I couldn't believe it when she told me that most kids probably didn't have the opportunity to play cricket. I hate to think of other kids kidding out on what I enjoy so much.

If you have been inspired by Jack and what to raise vital funds for Chance to Shine, please get in touch. We'd love to hear what you've got in mind and we're always happy to help in every way we can. Email us at [email protected] or call 020 7735 2881.
