Cricketers flocked to Richmond Common last month (27th July) to take part in the annual Green Cup tournament in aid of Chance to Shine.

Teams from across London competed in a six a side round robin tournament. Amongst those taking part were The Cricketers 'A' and 'B' sides, Whitton Wanderers, ITF and Helvetia Wealth with the Cricketers 'A' side coming out on top in the final.

Spectators and families enjoyed a charity raffle, bouncy castle and a BBQ alongside the cricket.

Speaking about the day, organiser Jason Stocks said, "Green Cup is in thirteenth year with Chance to Shine being the beneficiaries for the third consecutive year. This year was our best yet, not only was the cricket competitive, there were more stalls than ever and the sun shone, which was brilliant. Over 1,000 people came to the day to support Chance to Shine, watch the cricket and enjoy the rides and stalls available. We're looking forward to another successful year next year!"

Chance to Shine would like to thank Jason for his continued support.
