Golfers gear up for Chance to Shine Sunshine and showers greeted the teams on the annual Chance to Shine Golf Day at The Berkshire Golf Club in Ascot. Twenty teams battled the challenging red course with the Deeley Mathews team emerging as the winners. The winning team consisted of John Deeley, Pete Stanton, Paul Hall-Annison and Roger Lewis. They held off some stiff competition including the runners up side comprising of Mark Nicholas, Nick Stewart, Trevor Rudd and Simon Denehy. Along with Mark Nicholas, former England captain Mike Gatting and former women's captain Clare Connor also participated in the event. Following the golf the players enjoyed the famous Berkshire carvery in the Club House where Mark Nicholas also hosted a charity auction. The day was a huge success, with nearly £20,000 raised for Chance to Shine. Our thanks go to those that entered this year's competition as well as our volunteers network including Malcolm Sully and James Lubbock. We hope to see you next year! Manage Cookie Preferences
