Chance to Shine is delighted to announce the appointment of Eoin Morgan as a trustee.

The former England captain and World Cup winner brings a wealth of experience to the board, having retired from international cricket this year as England’s leading ODI run scorer and most capped player in both the 50 over and T20 formats.

Eoin has been a long-term supporter of the charity, naming Chance to Shine as a beneficiary of his testimonial celebrations in 2022.

Chairman Sir Donald Brydon said: “Eoin is universally acknowledged as one of the finest captains and leaders that English cricket has produced and his skills will be hugely valuable to our board of trustees. I know he shares our belief in cricket’s power to inspire young people and is resolute in his determination to make this sport a game for everyone.”

Morgan, who takes up the post with immediate effect, said: “Chance to Shine have given millions of children the opportunity to fall in love with the game of cricket and I’m tremendously excited to be part of their mission moving forward. The sport has given me so much over the years and I firmly believe in its power to unite communities and inspire young people to unlock their potential.”
