Duncan Fearnley wrapped up his two-year tenure as Worcestershire President by leaving a lasting impact after his final fund-raising event drummed up funds for Chance to Shine.

The charity lunch, which was hosted at New Road earlier this month, supported Chance to Shine as well as a surprise addition for the Division Two side.

The event featured a talk from former England and Lancashire batsman Graeme Fowler and helped to raise nearly £7,000 for the campaign. He also donated a portion of the funds raised to Worcestershire Cricket Club in order to help with the clean-up operation after three years of winter floods at New Road.

Speaking at the event Fearnley said: "I finish my presidency at the AGM on Monday and this lunch was my final chance to raise some more money for Chance to Shine.

Chance to Shine chief executive Wasim Khan said: "Duncan has done an incredible amount for Chance to Shine over the years and it means a lot to all of us that his last event as Worcestershire president was centered on supporting Chance to Shine."
