A Chance to Shine school in London launched its own cricket academy last week at an event attended by players, parents, teachers and some star guests including Chance to Shine coaching ambassadors, Charlotte Edwards, Lydia Greenway and Beth Morgan.

The England women were on hand to coach youngsters from Highbury Grove school which is supported by Booz & Co. The launch also included a raffle to raise funds for the school as well as speeches from Charlotte Edwards, the England women's captain, Richard Verity, Senior Partner at Booz & Co, and two of the cricketing pupils.

Rachel Landon, Head of Physical Education, said:  "The evening was a great coming together of people who share the same belief and that through cricket pupils can excel in all areas of their lives. I was moved by our pupils self confidence, ambition and smiling faces."
