Chance to Shine Ambassador wins ECB Cricketer of the Year It was today announced that Chance to Shine supported by Brit Insurance coaching ambassador Lydia Greenway has been named England Women's Cricketer of the Year. The ceremony was held last night in the Long Room at Lord's hosted by the ECB and Brit Insurance who sponsor all England teams, and along with the Chance to Shine programme. The award recognises England players’ outstanding achievements over the last 12 months of cricket. Other winners included Jonathon Trott and Umesh Valjee received Men’s and Disabled Cricketer of the Year respectively. Alongside playing for England, Lydia has worked for Chance to Shine across numerous schools and clubs in Essex, Hertfordshire and her native Kent, coaching and inspiring young people along the way. This summer Lydia is coaching at our girls only summer camps run with MCC Spirit of Cricket. She will be one of the three England Women Cricketers at the two-day camps in Netherfield CC, Cumbria, Bridgnorth CC, Shropshire, Chippenham CC, Wiltshire, Loughton CC, Essex and Burscough CC, Lancashire.
