Every year, our work costs £6 million reaching over 500,000 children and young adults across the country. As an independent charity, we are hugely grateful to everyone who supports us and our mission to give all children the opportunity to play and learn through cricket.

Why your support matters

Supporters who donate funds, time, or gifts in-kind are the reason why Chance to Shine has worked successfully with all 39 country cricket boards to reverse the decline in state schools and take the game to new places. We use cricket to teach vital skills, unite diverse groups, and educate children and young people.

The generosity and commitment of our supporters allows us to continue to fund coaching in state schools and communities, sparking new passions in young people. It can also provide opportunities for us to grow our programmes, significantly increasing reach and impact.

Don’t take our word for it, hear from the children and teachers we work with -

If you are considering supporting our School or Street programme, please get in touch to discover the difference your support could make today, nationally or locally.

We make it simple for you, all you have to do is join our Supporters Club, and engage with the community of likeminded supporters that make our work possible.

Club Supporters:
£1,000 pays for two kit bags for coaches to use to inspire children in a group of primary schools.

Club Members: £5,000 would help to fund a Street project, bringing year-round cricket to young people from a disadvantaged community.

Openers: £10,000 will fund Chance to Shine in at least 20 primary schools, giving around 1,800 children their first great experience of cricket.

First XI: A gift of £25,000 would help to fund a full-time community coach to deliver long-term coaching Schools and Street projects.

What we can offer you

  • Project visits to see at first-hand the impact of your support
  • An invitation to our Annual Awards evening
  • Recognition in our Impact Report
  • The opportunity to attend key Chance to Shine events throughout the year such as match day hospitality, a dinner, or a celebratory drinks reception

We also host a series of private events for our Patrons and high-value supporters throughout the year, to dine with special guests from the cricket fraternity.

    The challenge

Chance to Shine believes in how the power of cricket can help children from state schools and deprived communities. We know that many children are missing out on the benefits of physical eduction particularly girls, those from a BAME background and from a lower socio-economic background.
