Volunteers are a valued part of Chance to Shine. From helping us at events to collecting donations at cricket grounds, they enable us to do so much more than would otherwise be possible. We’re looking for volunteers to help us in London and around England.
The main areas are administration, fundraising, marketing and public relations.
Cricket United Day is taking place on Saturday 29 July 2017 at the Kia Oval. This is Day 3 of the Investec Test match between England and South Africa. Cricket United is cricket's largest fundraising and awareness day in the UK.
We need an army of enthusiastic volunteers to help spread awareness, turn the ground blue and raise funds. Your role will be to help sell our limited edition England caps, collect donations and generally spread the message of Cricket United. You'll need to be an enthusiastic team player, be confident speaking to others and also be full of energy. As part of the day you will be given your own Cricket United t-shirt and cap, a goody bag, lunch and refreshments throughout the day. You will also receive training and an induction ahead of the day and have a volunteer manager on hand to help you throughout the day.
There are still a few volunteering spaces available, so if you are interested in helping out on the day please contact Briony Everest or fill out the form at the bottom of this page.
We are always looking for volunteers to come into our office to support our team with a wide range of administrative tasks. Do you have a few hours to spare a week and would like to help, particularly in the summer? If so, we would love to hear from you.
We run a series of fundraising events throughout the year, from celebrity cricket matches to dinners at Lord’s.
On Thursday 14 September we are holding our Chance to Dine event at Lord's. During the day we need the help of volunteers to assist with the setting-up of the event. If you would like to support us and help make our event a success, please get in touch using the form below.
We are always looking for volunteers to help us collect money during England internationals in the summer and help spread the word about Chance to Shine.
Over the past few years we have held ‘Chance to Shine Awareness Days’ at the Emirates Durham ICG, Headingley, Lord’s and the Kia Oval. Over 100 volunteers have collected voluntary donations from cricket fans and helped to raise £30,000, enabling us to deliver cricket sessions to hundreds of schoolchildren.
To volunteer directly with the programme and assist with the delivery of Chance to Shine sessions, please contact your local County Cricket Board.
