Mark’s career was in business and finance, predominantly in private equity. He was a Partner at Bridgepoint Capital from 2001 to 2005 and was then one of five Founding Partners of Vitruvian Partners in 2006, from which he retired in 2019.

He holds a BA from Durham University (1986) and an MBA from INSEAD (1991). From eight years old to his mid-40’s he played cricket for his school, university and several amateur clubs until injury eventually got the better of him. But he remains devoted to the game.

Alongside Chance to Shine, he has a number of other director/trustee roles, including Chair of Governors at Cheam School in Berkshire.
