PLAY - Strictly Come Catching

Check out fast-bowling star Mark Wood's effort and then have a go yourself!

Cricket and dance have more in common than you might think! Fancy footwork is vital in both and we've got a brilliant activity that brings the two together.

This is a catching challenge with a twist - encouraging children to explore different throwing and catching techniques.

Children should aim to throw the ball up high and show us their very best moves and shapes and then catch the ball.

LEARN - Make your own cricket set

Don't have your own cricket equipment at home or at school? No problem!

Today we have a great arts and crafts session to give you some ideas on making your own equipment to use during Yorkshire Tea National Cricket Week.

There are three main items to make: a bat, ball and stumps. This session will encourage children to consider what materials they can use from around the house.
