We want you to challenge yourself, have fun and raise some money for Chance to Shine in the process. As we all adapt to our new routine in lockdown, it’s incredibly important to stay active and healthy and give yourself a chance to try new things. Why not get involved in a simple and fun activity for you or the whole family!

Who can get involved?

This Challenge is open to anyone of any age – the only requirement is that the activity must follow the Government guidelines on exercise and social distancing.

If doing a challenge isn’t for you but you would like to donate (you could donate £20 or any amount you like) by clicking here

How can I fundraise?

You can set up your own online fundraising page for Chance to Shine with virginmoneygiving.com or justgiving.com

All money donated this way is immediately transferred to Chance to Shine, so you don't have to worry about collecting the money in and getting it to us safely. Gift Aid is claimed on our behalf as well, making the most of all of your donations.

Include details for what you will be doing to raise money and why you decided to do the fundraiser in the first place! Be sure to add photos of you preparing and completing the challenge to inspire people to donate. By including links to our website and social media you can inform people about the work Chance to Shine does.

Activity Ideas

You can do anything to raise money, this could be something as simple as pledging to run 5k as your daily exercise, to doing a daily yoga session, or juggling for 15 minutes (or maybe just 1 minute!) non-stop. And don’t worry if you’re not able to get out your house or flat for now – you can do your challenge anywhere inside too. You just have to make sure your activity follows the Government guidelines on exercise and social distancing.

Here are some of our ideas!

C – catch 50 balls in a row, or see how many you can catch in a row in 10 minutes

R – run 5k, try and run this every day for a week

I – Instagram your challenges tagging @chancetoshine

C – complete an obstacle course - how many times can you complete it in 30 minutes?

K – keepie-upppies with a bat and ball - can you hit it 30 times in a row?

E – exercise for 30 minutes a day for 30 days

T – take aim and hit the stumps 25 times in a row
